The Benefits of IdealSlab™
- IdealSlab™ is a fully developed and certified slab system that has been in service for many years,
supporting thousands of homes. - Designed to provide a fail-safe solution to the problems encountered with differential
movement of the slab/structure caused by near surface soils that are affected by either soil,
swell, shrinkage or by fill settlement. - A fully suspended system that is built on the ground without the requirements for footings
excavation. The slab and the structure are fully supported on a grid of IdealPier™ driven
deep into firm ground. - On sites affected by soil shrinkage or fill settlement - the grid of IdealPier™ provide the
required uniform support to the slab that will prevent the structure from settling differentially. - IdealSlab™ has been designed to support the house or structure without failure irrespective
of underlying reactive clay soil movement or fill settlement.
No More Cost Blow-Outs
- The IdealSlab™ structural design remains constant, irrespective of soil type and foundation
soils. This means that the material elements for construction, consisting of reinforcing
steel, concrete and under-slab fill can be broken down on a $ rate per M2 and used for each
IdealSlab™ on all sites. - The only variable cost is the screw pier length - for example, IdealPier™ lengths may vary between the
cut and fill side of the site. - The variable cost is eliminated with the use of the IdealSlab™ method. This allows for the
differing length IdealPier™ component to be priced on a $ rate per M² basis for both
single and double storey houses. This method is suitable for all soil types. - The client and builder will know this cost at the site investigation stage ensuring that there
are no suprises for anyone at the construction stage. - All estimated costs for an IdealSlab™ are the construction costs every time.
