Understanding the type of soil you are building on is very important prior to commencing
construction of your home.

Our Site Investigation will determine the required depth of your foundations, so you know
the foundation costs up front before you commence your project. Normally foundation
costs include variations which are not finalised until inspected by an engineer at the
time of the concrete pour.

We do this by having a more thorough Site Investigation which includes drilling two bore
holes and taking three DCP measurements to the depth required (up to 8m if necessary).  This inexpensive investigation will give you piece of mind and will enable builders to fix
foundation costs without taking risks.

Our report includes:

  • Soil tests (where required)
  • DCPs (Dynamic Cone Penetrometer)
  • Fall of site
  • Wind classification
  • Soil classification
  • Bore hole drilling
